Illusion leads us into a dance of desire.
Convinced we control, we plot and steer,
In bonds of love, amidst laughter and tear.
Through our kin, our spouses, we weave our tune,
Drawing them away, under the sun and moon.
Basking in their love, their full-hearted surrender,
Not realizing, life’s truths are tender.
But as seasons shift, and children sprout wings,
To new families and loves, their hearts they bring.
Now we taste the bitter flavor of disregard,
Karma’s dance continues, the rhythm hard.
At the height of our game, sight becomes poor,
Life’s tide, we forget, kisses every shore.
Ebb trails each high wave’s vigorous ride,
Nothing remains constant, such is life’s stride.
