Ephemeral Echoes of Existence

In life's fickle dance, from dawn to dusk's gleam,

One moment, we're kings; the next, it's but a dream.

At the pinnacle, with wealth, status, and fame's glow,

Seldom we ponder the tides that ebb and flow.

In our prime, with riches and applause so loud,

Rare is the thought of life without that proud shroud.

Yet, as certain as the day turns into night,

Fortunes shift, changing our radiant light.

Born with empty hands, to this world we came,

And we'll depart the same, beyond all claim.

For this earthly sojourn is but a brief song,

A fleeting chapter where we momentarily belong.

While material allure often binds our heart,

True bliss lies in a realm apart.

For beyond transient treasures and worldly spree,

Is the eternal dance of the soul, pure and free.

The ephemeral joys of possessions and esteem,

Can vanish swiftly, like a forgotten dream.

But the soul, eternal, remembers its quest,

Carrying lessons, karmic imprints, and the rest.

In this grand tapestry, woven of time and space,

Shouldn't our soul's journey be our true chase?

Seeking enlightenment, diving into the infinite deep,

For in spiritual realms, profound secrets we keep.

My Country, My Land

Easy it is to say, it is my house, my land, my country,
Fool we must be to think, we own mother nature indefinitely,
All this is but a lease for us to pass our journey,
For one day, we shall leave this all behind on our way,
What is the point of obsessing or fighting over this
When we know deep in our heart it not even ours
Imagine how many wars could have been prevented,
and precious beautiful lives saved
if each of us lived in our own shell of bliss
having no aim of material things to possess
We could move from one place to other
without fearing one another
Enjoy the beautiful planet we have and mother nature
for some day we shall sleep forever in paradise

Eternal Soul

This poem is in the loving memory of one of my closest friend, Nehal Mehta, whom we will miss forever.

We are birds in this world, making our way across,
each passing day is a journey on the path of bliss,
We each must go one day in search of a new harbor,
and become memories in the hearts of our consort;
Memories, which I spend in thinking about you,
and the times we spent together,
Never had I imagined, that suddenly one day, without any admonition,
all this fun and talks, will cease forever...
Never did I know that the day you called me, to wish a happy new year,
would be the last time I hear your voice ever!
I saw you laughing always, but little did I guess,
there might be a pain behind the gloss...
You taught me how to enjoy each moment of life
to be a child and have fun in each moment till you die
But why was I in an illusion, that life is eternal
and everything around me is perpetual??
Why did it have to be you, this time, to teach me,
to appreciate and love each and every person in my life?
My friend, I will miss you forever, but you have enlightened me on a thoroughfare,
to lead an altruistic life, for someday we shall meet, as souls are amaranthine!
